I have been invited by colleagues to submit my Commentary on CCST Report and Recommendations for Smart Meters using RF. This is the OFFICIAL website for the BC citizens' Initiative Petition to stop smart meters in BC.

If you want to stop the BC Hydro smart meter program please add your name to our list. This will ensure that you are contacted when the official petition is launched.

Only an official petition under the BC Recall and Initiative Act can compel the BC government to hold an initiative vote to eliminate smart meters (similar to the initiative vote that removed the HST.)

"Emerging scientific research suggests that the poor quality of the electric power in our homes, schools and workplaces may be making many of us sick.  

"Most of us assume that the danger from electricity is safely confined to the wires in our homes, schools and workplaces. But, what most of us don't know is these same wires have become conduits for dangerous levels of radio frequency (RF) radiation and other harmful electromagnetic energy.

"I suffer from Electrosensitivity (ES) which means I am highly sensitive to electromagnetic fields (EMFs). People with the condition suffer adverse reactions to EMFs emitted by everyday objects such as mobile phones, Wi-Fi, microwaves, baby monitors, DECT cordless phones, smart meters, power lines and other electrical equipment. ES can be really painful and restrict 'normal' life and activity. Symptoms are wide-ranging and include headaches, sleep problems, dizzy spells and memory loss, among others.

"My mission is to raise widespread awareness of the condition, get it recognised as a functional impairment, and encourage people to minimise the emission of EMFs wherever possible."
